CHICAGO FIRE FC PARTNERS WITH AYSO TO EXPAND U.S. SOCCER COACHING EDUCATION ACROSS THE MIDWEST.
Chicago Fire FC has partnered with the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) to expand access to U.S. Soccer coach licensing opportunities for AYSO volunteer coaches across the Midwest.
Through this collaboration, volunteer coaches in Illinois and Michigan will gain expanded access to the U.S. Soccer coaching license pathway, starting with Grassroots licensing. In addition to licensing, the Fire will provide ongoing support, including access to special events and social-emotional learning resources, fostering a supportive environment for coaches and a more rewarding, holistic soccer experience for Core, Extra, and United players.
“Coaches are at the heart of youth soccer, and we are proud that AYSO has entrusted us to train and educate their coaches across the Midwest. As one of the largest and most respected youth soccer organizations in the country, AYSO plays a vital role in growing the game, particularly here in Chicago, and we look forward to making a positive impact on their coaches, players, and families." said Lee Hannant, Vice President of Community Soccer at Chicago Fire FC.
“We are excited to expand our partnership with Chicago Fire FC.” said Scott Snyder, AYSO Senior Director of Programs and Education, “They have been a trusted community partner for many years, and we look forward to working together to increase coach education opportunities for our volunteer coaches and to enhance our AYSO regions across the Midwest.”
